Chapter 999

chapter999

"If we can get everything ready, we can begin the surgery immediately," Calliope said to Silas. There's no point in delaying; we should just get started."

"Tell me what you need and I'll have it all prepared at once," Silas replied, his expression serious and unwavering. His complete trust in her was almost startling.

Calliope couldn't help but wonder-wasn't he afraid she might do something to his precious first love? Was he truly so sure that she'd act professionally, that she wouldn't let any personal feelings interfere? Did he really trust her that much? Or was he simply oblivious, thinking she was too na?ve to realize what was at stake?

She considered this as she looked at Silas, but he seemed unaware of her thoughts. He just asked for her requirements and immediately sent people to make the necessary arrangements.

"It should all be ready in about an hour," Silas said to her. "Anything else you need?"

"That'll be everything," Calliope replied. "Once we have what we need, we can go straight into surgery. But I should warn you this is a high-risk operation. Ideally, we should do it in a hospital operating theater. The sterile conditions and proper facilities there are much better than what we have here."

I'll arrange a hospital right away," Silas said, wasting no time. He made a call for an ambulance and began organizing a transfer to a large hospital. He quickly got through to the hospital director and secured an open surgery suite.

Soon enough, with everything sorted, Calliope and her team were taken to the hospital.

"Miracle Doctor, are you prepared?" one of the assisting surgeons asked Calliope as they waited outside the theater. "This surgery is going to be tough it could take hours. Do you think you can handle it?"

"Yeah, it'll take at least ten hours. Stamina is key," another remarked.

"But you're the Miracle Doctor. I doubt anything could stop you, right?" a third added with a smile.

"Yes and we'll be with you every step of the way. Is it just us, or do we need more people?" someone else asked, looking at her.

Every pair of eyes turned toward Calliope.

She took a moment to think. "In an ideal world, we'd have another lead surgeon to rotate with me, but someone like that isn't easy to find

on short notice So this will have to

do. With your support, I dont believe ten hours should be an issue."

Right it'll be exhausting, but we can manage, the team agreed, their gazes full of trust and respect.

Calliope remained calm and focused. "For now, let's get the patient prepped, and then we'll get ourselves ready in the OR."

"Okay, let's go!"

Everyone sprang into action, dividing up to handle their tasks. Just as Calliope approached the operating room, Silas walked over to her.

"Thank you for doing this," he said

Then, his voice Soft and earnest, "You'll be okay, right?"

Calliope nodded. "I'll give it everything I've got."

"That's all could ever ask," Silas replied, and he watched as she disappeared into the operating room before finding a seat in the waiting area to begin his long, anxious vigil.

Inside the operating suite, Calliope quickly briefed her team-outlining the patient's

situation and assigning everyone their roles.

"Everyone clear on what to do?" Calliope asked, scanning their faces.

"Don't worry, we're all professionals," someone replied.

"And you really are in a league of your own, Miracle Doctor. The way you assigned tasks was spot on."
