"You and Connor grew up together, you've been engaged forever. Not like that shameless girl from Maple Town, throwing herself at the Jeffersons just to get married in."

the party tonight? If he wants to give you his number, you might get your chance."

The girls realized she wouldn't budge, so they wandered off, disappointment written all over their faces.

"Ugh, would it kill her to give us his number?"

"Please. If she's so important, why do we never see her show up at parties with them? Maybe the engagement's already off."
