Chapter 192

chapter192

Sierra liked to think of herself as someone who stood up for what was right. She lifted her chin, her attitude pure princess. "You just called us dead weight. Shouldn't you apologize?"

Lydia just raised an eyebrow. "I said Greenward Power doesn't keep dead weight around. Are you saying that's what you are?"

"You..." Sierra was so mad she couldn't even get the words out.

Darla finally snapped. You little bitch. You called us dead weight, just not saying it straight. Do you take us for idiots?"

Lydia's voice was cool and calm. "Well, are you?"

"Do you even know who you're messing with? You'll regret this," Louise spat out, her short hair framing her scowl. She looked like she was about to explode.

Jane, the girl with long hair, glared at Lydia. "Why are we even talking to her? Let's just slap her around and make her kneel and apologize."

Louise's eyes were hard. "You heard her. Get on your knees and apologize, and maybe we'll let you off. If not, I'll call some friends. You won't like what happens next."

Lydia just grinned, clearly unimpressed. "Wow, I thought you were tough. Turns out you have to call for backup. That's just sad.

Louise lost it. You think you're clever? I'll show you what happens when you mess with me." She was known as the queen bee at school, and she could fight. She raised her hand, ready to slap Lydia across the face.

But before Louise could even touch her, Lydia kicked her so hard she went flying.

Because they were all standing together, Louise's body crashed right into Sierra and Jane. The three of them hit the ground in a mess of shrieks and tangled limbs.

Lydia looked down at them, shaking her head. "Seriously? That's all you've got? Just stay home. Don't embarrass your parents like this."

She turned to Darla and the other girl, who were both staring at her, frozen. "You two want to give it a shot?"

They immediately backed away, shaking their heads like their lives depended on it.

No way. Louise was the toughest girl at school and she just got taken out with one kick. They knew they had no chance.

Sierra finally managed to get up, her

face twisted with anger. "You better

pravy don't see

ou again Next time

you're dead."

Lydia just smiled, calm as ever. I'm right here. If you want to try, go ahead.

Sierra looked like she was going to

explode. Darla hurried over and whispered, Sierra, let's just let it go. We can't win against her."

Wi

What she really meant was, let's wait until we find more people to help us teach this arrogant girl a lesson.

"Let's go." Sierra spat the words out and turned to leave, moving fast like she was worried Lydia might kick her again.

Lydia didn't waste another second on them. She got in her car and drove off.

When she got to the hospital, Mr. Norwood was just being wheeled out of surgery and into the ICU.

Cameron and Kylie looked up, shocked to see her there.

"Lydia, why are you here?"

Lydia glanced at Mr. Norwood as he was taken into the ICU. "What happened?

Before Cameron or Kylie could say anything, Lucinda spoke up, her eyes red and swollen from crying. "Lydia, you did. Grandpa's surgery. Did you mess up the stitches or something?
