Chapter 326

chapter326

They'd been together for three years before getting married, and now another three years had passed. Jason had never even raised his voice at her, let alone a hand. At home, his whole family treated her like royalty. But what did he get for all of that?

This.

Jason's mother was so furious she could barely catch her breath. Her finger shook as she pointed at Ms. Santoro. "We have always treated you well, and this is how you repay us? If I'd known you were like this, I never would have let you marry into our family."

Jason's family wasn't rich, but Jason's parents were both educated and respected. Ms. Santoro had a degree from a good university, but her own family background was nothing special. From the start, their relatives hadn't really approved of her. To help her settle in and avoid being looked down on, they'd even arranged a stable job for her at Silverpine High.

And now, she'd thrown it all back in their faces, dragging the family's name through the mud for everyone to see.

"I did all of this for you! For a better life!" Ms. Santoro screamed.

Jason stared at her, hardly able to believe she was still making excuses.

"Forget it. Let's just get divorced."

Ms. Santoro froze, shocked. She knew how much Jason loved her. How could he even say that?

"Jason, I have my reasons. Everything I did was for our family. Why can't you just try to understand?" She collapsed in tears, begging him.

Jason almost laughed. You hooked up with another man, broke our marriage, and now you want me to understand you? You make me sick."

Ms. Santoro couldn't even speak through her sobs. "Jason, please, just trust me. Just this once."

"Get away from me. Don't touch me. From now on, we're nothing to each other."

After the Punto family stormed out, Mr. Colton's wife showed up at the police station, causing even more chaos. She scratched Ms. Santoro's face, screaming and cursing until someone finally pulled her away.

When things finally calmed down, Grayson, Aiden, and Andrew stayed to help sort things out.

"Ms. Santoro, why did you accuse Lydia of cheating?" Grayson asked. "Most teachers would be proud if their student got a perfect score. Why would you turn her in?"

Ms. Santoro sat slumped in her chair, silent and beaten down. She'd been screamed at, slapped, and now she was losing her marriage. She had nothing left.

Just then, Aiden's phone buzzed. He stepped aside to answer. "Boss?"

A clear, coot voice came through. I found something odd in Ms. Santoro's call records. The IP

address says the person she's been Working with is in Lakeview Town' right now."

Lydia had been suspicious and had checked Ms. Santoro's accounts, but found nothing. But when she went through the call logs, she finally found something useful.

Aiden nodded. "Got it, Lydia."

"Good," came the reply.

Aiden and Andrew had already guessed that someone was backing Ms. Santoro,

and Lydia's tip made them even more certain.

But Ms. Santoro just played dumb,

refusing to answer any of their questions. When Aiden asked for her

phone, she finally snapped, trying to smashit on the ground. Luckily

Arden was quick and caught t

before it broke.

"If you were brave enough to do it, why are you so scared now?" he said.

Ms. Santoro lost it. "Give it back! Give me my phone!"

Mr. Colton couldn't watch any longer. He looked at Grayson and sighed. "I'll talk."

All Mr. Colton knew was that

someone offered Ms. Santoro half a

million dollars to frame Lydia for cheating Ms. Santoro had made the contact herself. The person on the other end was careful, handing over two hundred fifty thousand in cash upfront and promising the rest once the job was done.
