Chapter 665

chapter665

Monica's screen name was actually KittenPaw.

Fiona had barely finished updating her own profile when she saw Lydia get tagged in the group chat. She stared at her screen in disbelief. "Wait, are you serious? Our class is stacked. We've got Daisy and Lydia?"

Daisy just raised an eyebrow and smirked. Yeah, what are the odds? The national top scorer is in our class. I wonder what she looks like." She'd already seen the chat blowing up about Lydia and it made her bristle. She was used to being known as the prettiest and smartest girl around. No way could this Lydia, or even Rosie, actually outshine her.

Before she even set foot on campus, Daisy had done her homework. The reigning campus queen at Capital Med School was Yara, a sophomore. Daisy's whole plan was to take that title for herself. As far as she was concerned, nobody else even counted.

Monica jumped back into the conversation. I heard from people who've seen her that she's gorgeous. She must be something special. In seconds, the chat exploded. Everyone started tagging Lydia, begging her to post a photo.

Daisy rolled her eyes and typed, [You guys are scaring Lydia. She probably doesn't even want to talk now.]

Felix, who went by GoofballKing, seemed thrilled to see Daisy join in. He sent a laughing emoji. [Daisy, my grades are awful. Will you help me out?]

Daisy replied, [We're classmates. We should look out for each other.]

Felix tagged her right away. [Just for that, when it's time to vote for campus queen, you've got my vote.]

A bunch of other guys jumped in too, tagging Daisy, promising to vote for her. Daisy was eating up the attention, barely bothering to hide her satisfaction. She replied, [Thanks, everyone.]

Still, after all the commotion, Lydia hadn't said a word in the chat. People started to wonder if she was even there. Daisy piped up again. [Let's not bother Lydia, everyone. She's the national top scorer, probably too busy to check her phone or chat with us.]

Felix responded, [Daisy thinks of everything. Lydia must be a super genius, just buried in her books.]

A bunch of people chimed in, agreeing with him.

Finally, Lydia sent a single message to the whole group. [See you all tomorrow.] Then she powered off her phone.

At eleven, Connor called. He said he was waiting outside the dorm for her. Lydia had no idea how he'd managed to drive onto campus since outside cars usually weren't allowed.

When Lydia slung her bag over her shoulder and headed out, looking as cool and distant as ever, Daisy frowned and turned to Monica and Fiona. Is she even in our class?"

Monica shook her head. "No idea."

Fiona said, I asked the dorm supervisor. They assign rooms by major and year, so

we should all be in the same class."

"You don't even know her name?" Daisy pressed.

When Daisy finally got a look at

Lydia's face, a little jolt of panic hit

her. The girl was seriously beautiful.

She started worrying she

actually lose the campus queen vote.

"We don't know. She doesn't talk much," Monica said.

Fiona thought for a second. But she seems nice. She said hi when we first arrived, just kind of quiet."

Daisy snorted. "I think she's kind of rude. We're roommates, and she just leaves without saying anything?"
