Chapter 720

chapter720

None of Daisy's team made it out dry. All five of them ended up in the river.

The current was faster than they expected, and with their backpacks weighing them down, they floundered around, arms and legs splashing everywhere.

"Help! Someone help!"

"I can't swim!"

"Help!"

Daisy and Patricia's screams were the loudest, their voices cutting through the air as they thrashed wildly.

Lydia called out from the riverbank, her voice clear and just a little amused. "The water isn't even waist-deep. Why are you freaking out?"

Once Lydia pointed it out, The guys calmed down a bit. They realized they could touch the bottom, but their packs were so waterlogged they felt like they were hauling giant buckets strapped to their backs. Standing up straight was impossible, so they just crouched there, using the river's lift to help carry the weight.

Lydia grinned down at them, her tone taunting. "So, how does it feel to get a taste of your own medicine?"

Daisy was furious. She finally managed to steady herself and shouted back, "Lydia! You did this on purpose, you broke the rules! You have to go back to the start and get punished!"

Lydia's eyes flashed with challenge. "Let's see who really broke the rules, who gets punished, and who has to start over then."

She didn't bother arguing. Instead, she waited while Daisy's group awkwardly paddled and scrambled towards the bank. As soon as Daisy got her footing, she pulled out her phone and called the support center, quickly painting herself and her friends as the victims. She reported that Lydia's team had sabotaged them just to win.

It didn't take long before two trainers showed up. As soon as one of them, Hudson, spotted Daisy, his stern face softened. He walked straight over and asked, "What happened here?"

Daisy jumped right in, her voice trembling with fake tears. "It was them! They pushed us into the river so they could win!"

Hudson happened to be close friends with Milo, who'd already asked him to keep an eye out for Darsy Not even questioning her Story, Hudson turned to Lydia's group and barked, "You broke the rutes. You'll need to start over and face the consequences."

Daisy finally wriggled out of her soggy backpack, standing tall and smirking at Lydia. "Hear that, Lydia? You're getting punished and starting over. We've totally got this in the bag. As for the rest of you, just get ready to pack your bags and leave school."

Patricia jumped in to back her up. Yeah, seriously, you should just quit now before

you embarrass yourselves even more."

Even though Felix and other guys

had gone along with Daisy and

Patricia's plan, they knew the truth Daisy had been the one pushing them to get Lydia and Jules into thes water. They never imagined things would backfire and they'd end up falling in themselves. Now, hearing Daisy talk about kicking Lydia's team out of school made them feel gross.

Felix finally spoke up. "Daisy, Patricia, maybe we should just let it go. Let's finish the challenge, okay?" He was already regretting everything. If this got any more out of control, it wouldn't end well.

Daisy stared at him like he'd lost his mind. "Are you serious? They broke the rules, they have to start over, and if they lose, they're out. Or do you want to be the one who gets kicked out instead?"

Felix wanted to say more, but Hudson cut him off, his gaze fixed on Lydia's team. "I don't care about your bet, but right now, you're coming with us. You'll be punished and you'll restart the challenge."

Lydia gave him a cold smile. You're blaming us without even asking what happened?"

Monica stepped up, her eyes blazing. Sir, it was them. They started shaking the rope to knock us off, but they couldn't hold on and fell in themselves. How is that our fault? That's not fair."

Hudson frowned, clearly not convinced. "All I know is, I saw your whole team in the water."
