chapter794
Mabel reached out and gave Nathaniel a light smack on the back of his head. "Honestly, get a grip," she scolded.
Mr. Robinson just let out a long sigh, looking completely defeated. He couldn't figure out how the Robinson family ended up with such a little rascal. Nathaniel never wanted to do anything serious, always chasing after some ridiculous idea.
Kylie, though, shot Nathaniel an encouraging smile. "Come on, Nate. You'd better step up your game. Chris and his team just took first place at the last international race."
The second his aunt started praising his sworn enemy, Nathaniel's face twisted in annoyance. Yeah, I heard that punk from the Jefferson family won, but let's be real. He only got first because NO1 showed up. If it weren't for NO1, there's no way he'd have won."
Nathaniel hadn't watched Chris's race. Honestly, he didn't care. But when he heard NO1 was there, he couldn't help sneaking a peek. NO1 was seriously epic. On a whole other level.
He just couldn't believe Chris, of all people, got lucky enough to know NO1 and even get their help. The thought of it drove him crazy.
Hold on.
Suddenly, something clicked in his head. He stepped back a couple times and gave Lydia a long, suspicious look, checking her out from head to toe.
Mabel frowned. "Nathaniel, what are you up to now? It's rude to stare at Lydia like that, you know."
Nathaniel let out a dramatic yelp. "Oh my god!"
Mabel just stared at him, speechless.
Nathaniel blurted out, "Lydia, you... you're not NO1, are you?"
Everyone had heard the rumors. NO1 was supposed to be a tall, gorgeous girl. Too bad she always wore a helmet, and nobody had ever gotten a clear look at her face. Now, seeing Lydia, remembering her driving skills, thinking about how she suddenly appeared at the international race to help Chris... it all felt way too suspicious.
Cameron grinned, looking proud and a little smug as he watched Nathaniel freak out. "So, what gave it away?"
Cameron's words hit him like a lightning strike.
"For real? Lydia, you're actually NO1? No way... am I dreaming?" Nathaniel was so shocked, he started babbling.
Now even Mabel and William were staring, and Elliot looked at Lydia in total disbelief.
Lydia, you're really NO1? How come you never told me?" Elliot asked, his jaw almost on the floor.
Blake just smirked. "That's what you get for always being busy with your acting gigs instead of watching the races."
Elliot rolled his eyes at Blake. "So you knew, too?"
Blake's grin got wider. "I know a lot more than you think."
Elliot looked at Lydia, suddenly unsure about everything. "Lydia, what else are you hiding from me?"
Lydia burst out laughing. Not much, I promise.
Nathaniel was practically vibrating with excitement. He rushed over, squeezing past Elliot, and looked at Lydia with huge, pleading eyes, Lydia can I be your student Please? Like, your one and only apprentice?"
Lydia pointed at the booklet he was clutching. "If you actually master the techniques in there and really practice, your team should be able to win a championship without me. AS long as you use your head. of course."

If he was hopeless and refused to think, even she couldn't help them.
Nathaniel nodded so hard it looked like his head might fall off. "Got it Lydia. I make sure everyone

after Chris. We're going to win back
everything we lost last time!"
Everyone just looked at each other. This kid was obsessed. He never stopped thinking about beating Chris.
At three in the afternoon, Lydia left the Robinson house with her family.
