Chapter 825

chapter825

Leo was there too, which made it obvious he was in on everything.

"Honestly, aside from Elliot, there's hardly anyone in this company who can compare to you," Leo said, sounding a bit shy as Lydia stood in front of the company's wall of awards. The truth was, Lorelei's reputation in the music world was on another level.

"They each have something special about them," Lydia replied, keeping it simple. For her, singing was just a hobby. She never really mixed with the entertainment crowd, so she barely knew anyone in the industry. In fact, almost no one actually knew her. They only knew her by her stage name, Lorelei.

"Come check out my studio. You can rest there for a bit," Elliot offered, clearly enjoying having his sister around.

Lydia nodded. "Sure."

Elliot's studio was filled with screens, each one showing his roles from different films and shows. Every character looked like they had a life of their own, and the whole place was honestly impressive.

Just then, someone knocked at the door. A staff member peeked in. "Hey, Leo, security just called. Elliot's sister is here. Should I bring her up?

Leo paused. At first, he almost said she was already here, but then realized the staff must be talking about the other sister.

He turned to Elliot. "Elliot, Lucinda's here. Want me to let her up?"

Elliot's patience with Lucinda had been wearing thin lately. He barely hesitated. Tell her I'm rehearsing and really busy. She should just go home."

Leo nodded. "Okay, will do."

Normally, when Lucinda visited, security would just call and she'd be escorted right up. This time, though, she waited and waited, but no one came. Eventually, a staff member finally appeared.

"Miss Lucinda, I'm really sorry, but Elliot is busy with rehearsals. He asked that you head home for now."

Lucinda's frustration shot through

the roof. Go home? How could Elliot treat her like this? He always claimed she was like a rear sister to him, but was this what he meant? Why was Lydia allowed up, but she was sent home?

"Then... what about my sister?"

The staff member looked lost. "Your... sister?"

Lucinda rolled her eyes. "The girl who came in with Elliot."

Now the staff member looked even more confused. Was that girl really Elliot's girlfriend? Why else would his own sister call her 'sister'?

"She, um... she's..."

Lucinda stepped closer, pulling him aside. She slid a ring off her finger and held it out to him. "I just bought this today, first time wearing it. It's yours. You can give it to your girlfriend."

The staff member stared at her. "Miss Lucinda, I can't take this..."

"I just want to know what Elliot and that girl are doing. That's all. Don't worry, I won't say anything."

Lucinda tucked the ring into his pocket before he could protest.

The staff member's heart was racing. The diamond on the ring was huge, probably worth a fortune. Lucinda really lived up to her status as a billionaire's daughter And it wasn't like he was spilling any top-secret information. Nothing ill gal about it, right?

"Miss Lucinda, Elliot is just showing the young lady around his studio He probably just wanted a bit of alone time, with her it's not that he didn't want to see you. Please, don't take it the wrong way."
