Chapter 856

chapter856

Lydia couldn't help but laugh. "So, are we all set?"

Elliot nodded. "Yep, everything's ready. We just need to do a final fitting for the performance outfits today. Oh, and that includes yours."

Lydia lifted an eyebrow. "I only need one outfit."

She was just there to support him and sing three songs, not to steal the spotlight.

Elliot shook his head. "One's not enough. Leo already talked to Katie, and they've got three outfits lined up for you."

That caught Lydia off guard. Nobody had told her about this. Katie hadn't mentioned a thing.

Three songs, three outfits, one for each, Elliot explained.

Lydia rolled her eyes. "That's way too much trouble. One outfit is plenty for me."

Elliot looked at her, a little helpless. "You're really sure? Just one?"

Lydia nodded. "Just one."

The truth was, Katie and Leo had already planned everything. They'd picked out three gorgeous dresses. One was a deep red, one white, and one black. All were high-end designer pieces, completely unique.

Katie and Leo were already waiting for them at the studio. As soon as Katie heard Lydia only wanted to wear one dress, Leo jumped in before she could say anything.

"Lydia, you're so beautiful. How could just one dress be enough?

Katie understood that Lydia didn't want the hassle. "Honey, what about two? We can totally pull it off. Look, these were all sent by the brands themselves. I spent ages picking out the three that would look best on you."

The moment the luxury designers found out Lorelei needed stage outfits, everyone rushed to get in touch with Katie. Dresses were shipped in from all over, hoping Lydia would wear their designs. But Lydia only wanted one.

She pointed at the black dress. "This one."

It matched her style. Subtle and understated. She just wanted to help set the mood for Elliot, not draw all the attention. If it were her own show, she would change as many times as the fans wanted.

Leo looked like he wanted to argue, but Elliot cut in. Alright, if Lydia wants just this one, then that's what she'll wear. She's gorgeous and her voice is amazing anyway. It doesn't matter how many outfits she has."

Katie shook her head, clearly a little disappointed. She'd really hoped this would be her chance to admire

Lydia's stunning beauty up o close... She especially wanted to see Lydia in the dark red dress. Lydia had worn that color once before on stage, and it was absolutely breathtaking.

"Honey, are you sure you don't want to try the red one?"

Lydia didn't even hesitate. "I'm sure.

Katie gave up, letting out a dramatic sigh.

That afternoon, Connor showed up with Luke. Luke still didn't know Lydia was actually Lorelei. All he

knew was what Connor had told et

him that Lydia was going to perform a duet with Elliot. He looked up to her so much. To Luke, Lydia could do anything, and whatever she did,

she did perfectly.

Lydia was just about to start her makeup when she spotted Luke. How was school this week?"

Luke nodded. "It was good."

Ever since Lydia had sorted things out at his school, everything had gotten so much better there. They even had a new principal now. His classmates knew he had someone looking out for him, so no one would mess with him anymore.

Lydia's look was coordinated to match Elliot's for their performance. The whole styling process would take about three hours. While she was getting ready, Kylie, Juna, Fiona, and Monica all texted to check in.

Juna knew Lydia was going to sing with Elliot, so she came straight to the backstage dressing room. Elliot was getting ready in another room. When Juna saw Connor and tuke already there, she couldn't help but tease them. "Wow, you two are really early."

Luke looked a little embarrassed. "I came with my brother-in-law."
