Chapter 859

chapter859

She still only wanted to marry Connor.

If Lydia just disappeared, everything would be perfect. She would be Connor's fianc e, fair and square.

Juna spotted Violette and plopped down beside her with a bright smile. "How long have you been here?"

"A while, I guess. Where'd you go? I was looking for you."

Juna grinned. "We went backstage to check out... our idol."

She almost mentioned Lydia's outfit, but kept quiet. Lydia hadn't appeared yet. No spoilers allowed. It would ruin the surprise for everyone.

Luke slid in next to Juna, and Connor took the seat beside Luke, right by the aisle.

People sitting behind them couldn't help whispering.

"They're engaged, aren't they? Why aren't they sitting together at a concert?"

"Yeah, they're kinda far apart. Maybe they don't want to attract attention?"

Well, the heiress is sitting between her parents, so Connor got pushed to the edge. "She really is lucky. She's surrounded by people who love her."

Lucinda overheard bits and pieces of the gossip and felt a huge wave of relief. She was so glad she hadn't brought Caspian tonight. With all these eyes on them, she would have been in way over her head.

Suddenly, the opening music shot through the arena, crackling with energy. In a heartbeat, the entire place erupted in cheers.

Fans leapt to their feet, waving glow sticks and raising neon signs high above their heads. The whole arena shimmered, lights swaying and flickering in the darkness, like a sea of stars fiercely lighting up their corner of the world.

Some fans were crying, shouting Elliot's name through their tears. Others were bouncing up and down, desperate to make their signs stand out. Friends hugged each other, sharing the wild rush of excitement.

The cheers, screams, and chants all blended into one huge wave of sound, crashing over every inch of the stadium, again and again.

Suddenly, every light in the place went out. Only a single, cool blue spotlight darted across the stage, moving like a restless spirit.

A deep, magnetic voice filled the air, echoing like something ancient. "In memory's old alley, moonlight spills on mottled walls."

The words brushed every heart in the room, lighting a spark that set the crowd on fire.

Then the drums kicked in, pounding like a heavy rainstorm. Smoke curled and spun across the stage, drifting like silk. Slowly, Elliot rose from the haze.

He wore a black leather coat, the hem swirling in the air like dark fire. Underneath; his fitted shirt was studded with silver and rhinestones, catching the blue light and sparkling mysteriously, as if someone had scattered stardust across him. C ntent

His hair was perfectly tousled, a few locks falling across his forehead,

making him look even more irresistible. His eyes were dark and intense the kind that could pull you in with just one look. His lips curled, into a half smile, mysterious and sexy at the same time.

He lifted his hand, fingers gloved in black lace, and curled one finger ever so

slightly, as if casting a spell over everyone watching.

For one electric second, the entire audience went still, holding their breath. Then the place exploded in wild screams and cheers, louder than ever, the energy soaring to a whole new level.

"Aaaah! Elliot! Elliot, I love you!"

"Elliot forever! Aaaah! We love you!"
