chapter1678
Simone was also stunned by Leonard's words.
She knew that when it came to people he liked, Leonard had very few boundaries or principles.
But this was taking it too far.
When he had been good to Aurora, at least she'd occasionally agreed to be his date, have dinner with him, or celebrate his birthday, even if she never gave him anything in return.
It was better than nothing; at least there was some response.
But Stella and Leonard were sworn enemies, and Leonard himself had been the one to destroy her hand.
Anyone with half a brain knew Stella would never forgive him.
Aurora might not have had any real feelings for Leonard and had been using him all along.
But if Leonard had to choose between Aurora and Stella, Simone would much rather he choose Aurora.
There was a deep-seated hatred between Stella and Leonard!
As Simone's thoughts drifted, she heard Leonard's voice again.
"In a little while, send another shipment through."
Rhett was at a loss for words.
Sending another shipment through a route that he knew was compromised? Wasn't that just openly inviting her to steal it?
It was so out of character that it had to be a trap. Stella probably wouldn't dare to intercept the cargo again, fearing that they had set something up for her.
"Understood, sir," Rhett replied.
Just as Rhett was about to leave, Leonard stopped him again.
"Have you found that specialist I asked you to look for?"
Specialist?
Simone's head snapped toward Leonard. "Why are you suddenly looking for a specialist? Are you sick, Leonard?"
Rhett's expression was a bit odd. "Uh... Mr. Lerman isn't sick."
He looked at Leonard, conflicted. "Ms. Cameron's hand... even Mr. Burton had trouble treating it
Finding a more net
skilled than him... it's almost impossible."

"Mr. Burton's medical skills are high, but he doesn't specialize in orthopedics or neurology," Leonard said. There's always someone better out there. There are many doctors more skilled than him."
Rhett knew that, of course, but whether they existed and whether they could be found were two different things.
Leonard had tasked him with finding a top specialist six months ago.
After searching for over half a year, Rhett still hadn't found a doctor who could heal Stella's hand.
Leonard also knew it would be difficult to find someone who could.
Joshua had never given up searching for a doctor for Stella, but he hadn't found anyone either.
The chances of him succeeding were slim.
"Keep looking," Leonard said. "Report back to me immediately if you have any news."
After Rhett left, Simone could no longer hold back. "Leonard, are you under some kind of spell from Stella?
"Letting her steal from you is one thing, but now you're trying to find a doctor for her?"
Simone might not have been a genius, but she knew how the game was played.
"Never mind whether Stella will accept anything you do for her, but even if you do find a doctor who can heal her hand, she probably still won't forgive you.
"Some scars never fade, no matter how much you try to make up for them."
The blame lay with Leonard for being so ruthless in the first place.
Leonard remained silent.
Simone knew that he understood all this. It was just like with Aurora; he knew better than anyone that she was using him, but he still willingly let himself be used.
Now, he had set his sights on Stella, and there was no telling what crazy things he might do.
Thinking about her own rivalry with Stella, Simone quickly tried to persuade him.
"Leonard, there are so many women in this world. You can have any woman you want. Why are you so fixated on the women from the Williams family?
"Aurora was one thing, at least she's never been married. But Stella? She's a divorcee with a child! You're the head of the family, Leonard. You've never been married, ne even had a girlfriend."
