After hanging up, Stella said to Lauretta, "Lauretta, Jonathan was in a car accident. Do you want to come with me to check on him?"

Lauretta was stunned.

"A car accident? Why would Jonathan get into a car accident?"

"I don't know the details," Stella replied. "We'll have to go and see."

Lauretta was silent for a few seconds before saying, "I'll go with you."

When they arrived at the hospital, a crowd had already gathered outside the operating room.

Before returning to Solmaris, Stella had only contacted Abby to ask if she wanted to come back with her.

Abby had told her she needed more time and probably couldn't return just yet.

Violet nodded, looking disappointed.

She had a lot of new gossip to share with Abby.

Skyler's gaze fell on Lauretta, who had arrived with Stella.

He offered a kind smile. "Lauretta, you came too."

"Yes," Lauretta said. "I was with Star. When we heard Mr. Williams was in an

accident, we came to see how he was."

At this, Lauretta looked at Skyler.

"Mr. Williams, how is he now?"

Skyler's face clouded over with worry.

"He's in surgery right now. The situation is... not good."

"Mr. Williams, what do you mean by 'not good"?" Lauretta asked.

Coleman, standing nearby, answered calmly, "He's not out of the woods yet."

Stella and Lauretta exchanged a look.

If his life was still in danger, the situation was clearly very serious.

Just then, Aurora asked, "Father, how did Jonathan get into a car accident? Have they found out the cause?"

"The driver who caused it has been

detained, Skyler said. "He was driving a heavy truck, drunk, exhausted.
