Chapter 423

chapter423

Such a juicy, scandalous affair couldn't help but attract a crowd.

Onlookers whipped out their phones, eager to capture the scene.

Stella's brow furrowed as she took it all in.

Abby was still a ways off and wouldn't arrive for a while yet.

She couldn't let this woman continue causing a scene.

With that thought, Stella quickly called the police.

The officers arrived fast, ushering the unruly family off the premises.

But it wasn't long before a video of the incident was posted online, where it spread like wildfire.

Within the hour, the internet was ablaze with outrage, everyone condemning Antoney as a selfish, irresponsible lowlife who ought to be thrown in jail.

Fame, Stella had learned long ago, came with a price: privacy became a thing of the past. Now, Antoney was learning the same painful lesson.

Several young women from the music world, all pianists, jumped at the chance to pile on. They claimed Antoney had a habit of using his musical talent and good looks to manipulate and take advantage of them, always under the guise of "mentoring."

After falling prey to Antoney's mind games, none of them went to the police. Instead, they became his so-called "girlfriends," one after another.

And once Antoney tired of them, he simply broke things off and moved on.

With each new accusation, the story gained credibility-and Antoney's reputation plummeted. Overnight, he became a pariah, the kind of person everyone loved to hate.

The scandal rocked the entire music community. After all, Antoney had racked up numerous awards at international competitions and was widely celebrated for his talent. That much was never in doubt.

But his character? That was another story entirely.

Many sponsors, hesitant at first, quickly changed their tune as more evidence and testimonies emerged. One by one, they released public statements announcing the termination of their contracts.

Their swift withdrawal was as damning as any verdict, confirming Antoney's guilt in the eyes of the world.

Meanwhile, in Antoney's apartment, Abby scrolled through the never-ending barrage of online news, her anger boiling over.

"That ungrateful witch! Antoney helped her back then, and now she's stabbing him in the back? What a bitch!"

She couldn't help but curse aloud.

Back in the day, when Antoney was working in a bar, he'd accidentally overheard cries for help coming from a private room. Without hesitation, he'd kicked open the door and found a man assaulting a young woman.

While Antoney moved to intervene, the man managed to escape. He checked on the injured girl, but didn't have time to give chase.

No one could have predicted what happened next: when the girl regained

consciousness, she blamed Antoney for the assault.

This had all happened just after Stella returned to the Williams family, and she had no idea about it at the time.

Stella asked, "Didn't you go to the police?"

"We did. The police investigated and confirmed Antoney wasn't involved," Abby replied. "But the woman just wouldn't let it go. She kept hounding Antoney, insisting he was

responsible for what happened to

her."

Stella wasn't surprised that Antoney had tried to help. He might have had a cold

exterior, but deep down, he was soft-hearted.

"So how did you resolve it?" Stella asked.

Abby sighed. "Stella found out about

it by accident. She ended up giving that family a large sum of money to make them leave for good. We thought it was all in the past. I have no idea why they've suddenly come back and dragged Antoney into this mess again."

Stella thought for a moment, then asked, "Would releasing the police report help calm the rumors?"

Abby shook her head. "The woman was the first to call the police, and she was so unreasonable that even the officers couldn't do anything with her. By the time she reported it, days had already passed and it was impossible to gather any real evidence."
