The professors were actually lining up to ask Lydia for advice. Seriously? Had they heard that right? Lydia... what could she possibly have to teach them? Sure, she had won first place in the academic competition, but did that mean she could suddenly start lecturing the university's professors?

Dr. Tomlinson was just as stunned. The look on his face said it all. "You... you're asking Lydia for help?"

"Of course! Lydia's amazing!" one of the professors replied, practically glowing with excitement.

"If Dominick hadn't told us, we'd never have guessed. That artery surgery that made such waves in the Capital's medical world? Lydia and Garrett did that together! No wonder she's Kevin's star pupil. She's incredible!"

Dominick, the same judge from the academic competition, had heard the story straight from Dr. Donley. He'd seen it all with his own eyes-Lydia and Garrett saving that patient whose artery had been severed. That alone spoke volumes about how skilled Lydia really was.

At first, none of them could believe it. But after they started asking Lydia about what she'd done during the surgery, every doubt vanished. Then one question turned into another, and before they knew it, they were all asking her about their toughest medical problems. Lydia had answers for everything.

She was a genius. No wonder they were all practically falling over themselves to learn from her.

Dr. Tomlinson realized he had absolutely no reason to question why Lydia hadn't gone to observe the surgery. Just like she'd said, she didn't need to.

Marilyn, Yara, and Collin were left speechless. Yara, especially, could barely hide her jealousy. Her hands were clenched so tight her nails dug into her palms when she heard Lydia had assisted Garrett in surgery.

In her mind, the only reason Lydia could do all this was because she was Kevin's favorite student. Kevin had shared everything he knew with her, that was why she was ahead of everyone else. What was there to brag about? If any of them had been K vin's student, they could have done even better.

As soon as she finished, Dominick shot her a look. "Marilyn, Lydia just doesn't care about empty titles. The real honor is representing our country at the International Medical Competition. That's what really matters."

Mr. Russo agreed. "Exactly. With Lydia's skills, she'll outshine everyone for sure. They could see what real talent looks like."

Marilyn and Yara just laughed to themselves. Maybe Lydia was good at surgery, but the international competition was no joke. It wasn't just the country top medical students from all over the world would be there. Did Lydia really think she'd be the star? Did she honestly believe it was her turn to shine?
