Chapter 460

chapter460

The moment the announcer shouted NO1's name, the crowd went dead silent for three seconds. The entire stadium had been roaring, but now you could hear a pin drop. No one had expected the legendary NO1 to actually show up on the track.

Even the twenty-six racers out there nearly stalled their cars from shock. NO1? Was this for real? Was the announcer messing with them?

Chris, who'd been flying ahead in first place, almost wanted to spin his car around just to see for himself. Did he hear that right? His idol, the one he'd hunted for online, the mysterious racer he'd never managed to track down, was actually here? Racing with him?

He couldn't hold back his excitement. He quickly changed lanes, glancing in his rearview mirror, desperate to spot which car belonged to NO1. The moment he saw it, he was so stunned he almost crashed into the guardrail.

Wait, wasn't that Lydia's car?

Everything suddenly made sense. The NO1 he'd been searching for all this time, his racing idol, was his sister-in-law.

He felt like his whole world flipped upside down. No wonder Lydia was so amazing. She was NO1.

In the stands, the audience finally snapped out of their shock. People jumped up all at once, eyes glued to the car in fourth place, screaming their hearts out.

NO1! NO1!

"It's really NO1! Oh my God! I can't believe I came to a race and ended up getting this kind of surprise!"

"Did I hear that right? Is it really NO1?"

People went wild, waving flags, shouting, and losing their minds. The chaos left Lucinda completely baffled.

"Are they all crazy? Who even is NO1?" she asked, staring at the crowd, totally confused.

A fan from Country Y sitting behind her immediately snapped back, "If you don't know who NO1 is, why are you even here?"

Lucinda's face twisted with anger. She was about to argue when Cameron quickly stepped in. Sorry, my daughter doesn't really watch racing."

Lucinda could barely hold in her frustration. She turned to Kylie, who was sitting right next to her. "Mom what did even say wrong? How is it my fault I dont know who Neris?" She was the daughter of the richest man around-if she hadn't heard of NO1, maybe NO1 just wasn't that famous.

Even though Kylie didn't follow racing, she'd definitely heard of NO1. Cameron liked

to watch races and had mentioned her plenty of times.

"Lucinda, don't underestimate NO1.

That is the top racer in the world The records they have set, no one's even come close to breaking them, Cameron said, craning his neck to get a better look at the race.

Blake had heard NO1's name too. She was a legend, a total genius.

Lucinda rolled her eyes. "So what?" She was pretty great at piano. If NO1 tried to play piano, she'd probably mix up the black and white keys.

Connor glanced at the empty seat next to him where Lydia usually sat, then looked over at the fourth car on the track. He had a feeling that Lydia was about to surprise him again.

Meanwhile, Lucinda was just clueless.

"Can you get a whole stadium to stand and cheer for you?" Connor said coldly.

Lucinda's face burned. She mumbled, "I... I don't even race."

It's not that you don't race. You just don't have the talent for it. NO1 is the best in the world. Where do you rank? Connor wasn't holding back at all.

"I'm not interested in racing. I like playing piano, Lucinda grumbled. She couldn't figure out why Connor was always so gentle with Lydia but turned into a completely different person around her.

Connor let out a sharp laugh.

"Not being interested doesn't mean you can look down on someone else's achievements. The whole

stadium is filled with NO1's fans net

Say anything louder and they'll drown you out. You like prano? Where do you rank internationally?

Connor's words were brutal. Every sentence made her feel smaller and smaller.

Lucinda was about to cry. How could Connor be so harsh with her?
