Lydia just said, "I'm at the dorm. Just send anyone over."

As soon as she hung up, everyone around her started buzzing. Was Lydia calling for backup? Seriously? So she had connections too? But could her people really

compare with the Rivers family?

Everyone knew the Rivers family in the Capital. They were a legendary medical dynasty. All the city's elite tried to get close to them. No matter how rich or powerful you were, health problems would come for you eventually. That's when the Rivers really mattered. In short, you'd be smart not to cross them.

But Lydia didn't seem scared at all. She'd gone head-on with them the moment she arrived. Suddenly, the girls watching found themselves kind of impressed. Now they were even more curious about who Lydia's people were.

In Daisy's mind, Lydia was just some nobody, a country girl who'd gotten into college. Not worth worrying about.

Ms. Brown was starting to panic a little. She had no idea who Lydia had called. "Lydia! You bullied your rommmate and now you're acting like you're in the right? I don't care who you call, you still have to apologize to Daisy!"

Lydia looked at her with pure contempt. "If you're so fond of Daisy, maybe she can get you a better job. Stop being a dorm supervisor if you're going to threaten to expel students every time something happens. It's not a good look."

A few girls couldn't help but let out muffled laughs. Ms. Brown's face went bright red. She spun around at the crowd and barked, "It's past curfew. Back to your rooms, all of you!"

The girls were dying to see how this drama played out, especially who Lydia had called for help. But with Ms. Brown fuming, nobody wanted to get in trouble. They shuffled off to their dorms, disappointed to miss the rest of the show.

They didn't even know who would win-Lydia or Daisy.

Most of the students had barely left when a new group arrived. It was Ms. Powell, the only female vice principal of Capital Med School, along with Bobby, the Dean of Students, and Ronald, the Head of Admissions.

Ms. Brown just stood there, frozen. She was only a dorm supervisor. Why had so many higher-ups shown up all at once?

"Ms. Powell... Mr. Bobby... Mr. Ronald... What are you all doing here?"

Ronald had gotten a call from Kevin earlier. He thought whoever planned to kick Lydia out had to be out of their mind. No, worse than that. Their brains were mush. Actually they were just plain dumbass. It was enough to make a polite guy like him want to curse out loud.

"You want Lydia expelled?" Ronald sneered, looking Ms. Brown up and down. He'd practically busted his legs getting this star student to enroll, and now this woman wanted her gone?

Bobby shook his head, just as confused. "You're a dorm supervisor.

Isn't your job to after the

dorms? Why are you getting involved in stuff like this? Since when do you have the power to expel students?"

Ms. Brown was clearly rattled. She quickly pulled Daisy forward. "Mr. Ronald, started it. She threw water on Daisy first! You know who Daisy sright The Rivers family? The famous medical family? Daisy Rivers!"

She kept repeating Daisy's connection to the Rivers family, as if that changed everything.

Ms. Powell glanced at her, voice firm. "At Capital Med School, family background doesn't matter. Once you enter these gates, you are students first. We treat everyone fairly. That's our job."

She turned to Monica and Fiona. "You two were there, right? Tell us what really happened between Daisy and Lydia."

Monica and Fiona nodded and started explaining everything, laying out the whole story from start to finish.
