Chapter 690

chapter690

"Enough already! Do you want to get me in trouble? Who she dates is none of our business. Haven't you learned anything from what happened to Daisy?"

Right away, everyone understood. Lydia had serious connections. She was not someone you wanted to mess with.

"Our advisor just sent the training location for our class. We should get going," Monica said, scrolling through her phone.

Fiona dabbed her mouth with a napkin and checked the group chat too. "Looks like someone in our class can't join the competition. Won't that knock off a bunch of points for us?"

Monica blinked in surprise. "Wait, I didn't see that."

"It's a few messages up. Scroll," Fiona replied.

Monica's eyes widened. "Wait, it's not Daisy, is it? She's not coming anymore?"

"No, it's someone named Sandy. Says she just had major surgery and already has a doctor's note."

"Oh. Yeah, with surgery that serious, there's no way she could do this."

Lydia arched her eyebrow. She hadn't expected Sandy to be in her class.

Freshman Class 3 was assigned to the third row in the southeast corner of the field. There were people everywhere, a huge wave of uniforms stretching as far as you could see.

"Southeast corner... is it over there?" Monica asked, pointing hesitantly.

Lydia just started walking.

Monica and Fiona moved to catch up. Around them, other students hurried past, scanning for their classes.

"Where's Class 9? We're so late."

"Come on, hurry up!"

"Look for the sign with our class. If you're late, they'll punish you."

Lydia led the way, weaving through the crowded field. She found their spot right away, not missing a beat.

"Lydia, you have the best sense of direction! How did you find it so fast?" Monica said, grinning.

It was five minutes to eight, but only eight students were gathered by the class sign, all of them boys. Next to the sign, someone in camouflage stood perfectly straight.

Monica and Fiona got a good look at him and immediately sucked in their breath.

"Oh my god, is that our instructor?" Monica whispered to Fiona, her hand clamped over her mouth.

Fiona stared, eyes wide. "I think

that's him. Seriously, how can

someone be tha

young and that

cute?ts the schoof really okay hiring

someone this good-looking?

Nobody's going to focus."

Monica giggled quietly. Cute instructors make training so much better. I'm not

complaining. He's gorgeous. Seriously, he's better looking than any celebrity."

Lydia narrowed her eyes, watching the instructor at the front of the group.

Iceblade.

He really showed up.

He stood tall in the sunlight, back

straight, looking strong and confident. The uniform fit him so well, showing off broad shoulder narrowwaist, long legs. Every movement was smooth, strong, effortless.

His face looked like it had been carved to perfection, all sharp angles and striking lines. His eyebrows were dark and defined, his eyes deep enough to get lost in. His nose was strong, his lips pressed into a determined line. As Lydia watched him, he looked right back at her. For a brief moment, the corner of his mouth lifted in a tiny, almost invisible smile, as if he was saying hello just to her.

Lydia raised her eyebrow and turned away, pretending not to notice.

Was Iceblade here for Connor?

In the next few minutes, more classmates arrived, out of breath and a little flustered.

With so many people all wearing the same thing, it was hard to find anyone.

The girls in the class took one look at their instructor and couldn't help but whisper to each other.

"He's so young."

"He's so cute."

Seriously, he was way too handsome.

They glanced at the instructor for the class next door and winced. The difference was night and day.
